Conservative Manifesto

Conservative Manifesto

To great fanfare (and no little press coverage) the Conservative General Election Manifesto was launched on 13th April. Designed and illustrated by Perfect Day, the 'Invitation to join the government of Britain’ was initially presented as a hardback book with cloth cover and then made available online as a pdf and in viewer format. Whichever way you choose to read the manifesto, you'll see that the design combines two styles - clean and elegantly typeset pages that are brought to life by aspirational retro-style artwork which punctuate the chapters.

The Conservative General Election Campaign

As many of you will have guessed, Perfect Day has been heavily involved with the Conservative General Election Campaign. Our work spans a pretty eclectic range of projects, including the design of their battle bus, their campaign headquarters, their media centre, fundraising direct mailers, journalist goodie bags and online donation campaigns.

On a street near you now...

Nine posters designed by Perfect Day on behalf of the Conservative Party have been put up on 3000 phone boxes up and down the country. Each design features one of the Tory's core beliefs and urges people to vote Conservative at the General Election on 6th May. Versions of the designs appeared in the Conservative Manifesto and some have previous incarnations on t-shirts, postcards, fridge magnets and tea towels.

New Commissions

On the back of recent work we have been producing for McDonald's Europe, we were contacted recently by McDonald's France to create a new family of designs for all internal and external communications materials in France. Work on this project includes the development of a new set of divisional logos, stationery, brochure and template designs. The work will culminate in the development of a comprehensive set of brand guidelines in both printed & digital formats.

Two further McDoanld's projects will be in the studio at the same time. We will be developing the designs for McDonald's Europe's New Store guidelines in both print & digital formats. This document showcases best practice for the sustainable development of new store builds. This work will also coincide with the design & development of their new 'Play' catalogue - a digital ebook aimed at Franchisees that showcases the new designs and equipment in their Kids' Décors portfolio.

Sign post

Fred Boomer, signwriter to the stars, has been weaving his magic in our studio and offices. This traditional craftsman spent three days painting our offices with motivational messages (see an example on the left) and the odd piece of directional signage. To see more of his handiwork, there's only one thing for it – you'll have to pay us a visit...

We had a busy end to 2009 as we put the finishing touches on a campaign for the Conservative Party. The association has three different levels of accreditation it will award to restaurants depending on their level of sustainability.
